Lynn will make sure Illinois remains a Midwest safe haven for reproductive freedom. As neighboring states have stripped away access to abortion, women have traveled here seeking the care they can no longer receive at home. We must make sure those women have secure access to the services they need when they come to Illinois, and continue to strengthen our laws to protect them from red states that seek to punish them for accessing care.
Lynn will protect access to abortion, contraception, and IVF and ensure that healthcare decisions stay where they belong with patients and their doctors, not politicians. Our state must continue to be a place where every woman has the freedom to make her own choices about her future.
Lynn stands firmly against fear based immigration enforcement that tears families apart. The Illinois TRUST Act and Way Forward Act were passed to limit cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement because local police should not function as an arm of federal deportation forces.
Aggressive ICE tactics have destabilized communities and discouraged victims from reporting crimes. Illinois has chosen a different path, one that prioritizes due process, civil rights, and the understanding that immigrants are essential to our economy, schools, and neighborhoods. Lynn will push back against overreach and ensure our state remains a place where families can live without constant fear.
Lynn will strengthen our laws to make sure that ICE is held accountable for their illegal actions. That’s why the Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR Action) has endorsed Lynn in this race. They know she will work alongside them and the immigrant community to fight for these important issues.
Lynn understands that protecting our environment means protecting our health, our neighborhoods, and our future. She will work to modernize aging infrastructure, strengthen flood prevention, and ensure our air and water meet the highest safety standards.
Lynn supports responsible growth that preserves open space, reduces pollution, and prepares our communities for more frequent extreme weather. By investing in resilient infrastructure, clean energy innovation, and practical environmental safeguards, we can create a healthier community and a stronger local economy for the next generation.
Lynn recognizes that affordability is about protecting the stability and quality of life our families have worked hard to build. It includes the rising cost of health care, higher grocery bills, increasing energy expenses, and housing prices that make it harder for young adults and growing families to put down roots while ensuring longtime residents can remain in their homes with confidence.
Lynn will pursue thoughtful, fiscally responsible policies that control health care costs, promote energy efficiency and grid reliability to keep utility bills affordable, strengthen competition to ease pressure on everyday expenses, and support balanced housing policies that maintain strong communities. She’ll hold Springfield politicians accountable and make sure they don’t implement a new grocery tax.
